Kidson-Trigg are a friendly, professional, established family business, of Chartered Surveyors & Auctioneers; recognised and respected in serving the rural and professional community across Wiltshire, particularly in the Marlborough and Swindon areas; & offering a very bespoke and hands-on service to both international and local clients across Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire & Gloucestershire.

The business has been built on a reputation of a small, friendly, professional and a well connected team of individuals who live in the area.

Kidson-Trigg has a dedicated Property Office and Auction House –dealing with the sale & valuation of property and house contents.

We are the local Swindon Auctioneers, and the only Auction house near Swindon which offers monthly antique sales of Chattels across the board, with valuations days every month, and every morning by appointment.

Martin Kidson
FRICS Managing Director

Martin Kidson-Trigg has over 45 years of experience in the Swindon and Marlborough area offering a highly professional confidential service. His professional background starts in Swindon & Marlborough with the firm Dennis Pocock in the 1960s, auctioneering all through the 1970s & 1980s at Devizes Cattle Market, Marlborough Sheep Fair and Marlborough Fine Art Auction Rooms. He is very well known across the rural, agricultural and professional community throughout the Cotswolds and the Marlborough Downs. He set up his own practice, Kidson-Trigg Chartered Surveyors & Auctioneers in 1991, and has now expanded his business to a team of 10 professionals operating out of 2 rural offices and auction rooms.

Martin is one of the most experienced auctioneers in the country and has had lifetime interest in Antiques, particularly furniture and sporting art. Martin oversees all professional valuations for probate, inheritance tax and insurance.

Anne set up the business with her husband Martin, in 1991. She is the Company Secretary and Finance Director and is responsible for the logistics and finance of the auction rooms. Anne is a key component in the management of the staff and business, both in the Auction Rooms and Property Office.

Pippa Kidson-Trigg joined her family business in May 2004. Her background - 12 years in London, firstly in the City doing Corporate Communications & Investor Relations with a small Financial PR Company looking after Media Companies. Latterly in Rural Affairs PR and Political Lobbying – with the Countryside Alliance in their Press office, and then as Senior Press Officer and Campaigns Manager for the Country Landowners Association. Pippa is the contact for the Marketing, PR, Photography & Advertising for the Auction Rooms.; and she is one of the Auctioneers.

Alastair has joined the business full time in 2011. After his degree at the Royal Agricultural College Cirencester, Alastair qualified as a Chartered Surveyor at CB Hillier Parker. He spent 3 years at CB Hillier Parker/CBRE in their National Business Space, Agency and Development team. He moved to Doherty Baines where he continued to develop his career in Industrial acquisitions and disposals and also development consultancy.

He spent 3 years with Wharfland Investments, a private boutique investment company where he managed industrial and office parks along the M4 corridor, and also specialised in strategic land planning where he instigated and ran project teams for large land tracks throughout the United Kingdom. He operates in the Ramsbury Property Office & the Highworth Estate Office, and in particular spearheads Comercial Property & Strategic Land and Planning department.

Simon Morant joined Kidson-Trigg as predominately a Picture Specialist, but also brings to Kidson-Trigg excellent all round general knowledge of Chattels, combined with a wealth personal contacts. Simon has built up his appreciation of antiques over the years, with his father and uncle both dealing in antiques. Simon is well known in the area and previously the world of Racing as a racehorse trainer and also Senior Starter for the Jockey Club. Simon does many of the probate and insurance valuations.

 

Suzie Yorke-Davies
Office Manager

Suzie is an RSA qualified Personal Assistant and General Administrator having worked within a range of sectors but primarily the property industry. Ranging from working for a small property developer of Winchester town houses and a multi-national pharmaceutical company and video production to a PA for the Property Development Director at B&Q plc. After having a family Suzie took over designing and managing the interiors for Fairfax Classical Properties, developers of luxury Georgian country homes before joining Kidson-Trigg in 2013. Suzie enjoys water-skiing, is a keen member of the Ramsbury Tennis Club and can often be found walking dogs around the village of Ramsbury.
